Total number of beneficiaries (IA # 00): the total number of beneficiaries is calculated by adding the number of beneficiaries from indicators counting persons (and not infrastructures, for instance).
This number does not take into account the people reached through media campaigns of the projects, which are reflected in the aggregated indicator #27.
It is possible that some beneficiaries are counted twice, if they happen to have benefited from several actions, for example in different sectors or by different partners.
Vulnerable persons: the classification is based on implementing partners’ evaluation and selection systems of beneficiaries. Refugees, displaced and returnees are generally considered to be vulnerable.

Note: Indeterminate values are not not taken into account in the breakdown
Refugees: as defined by UNHCR. The vast majority of beneficiaries of the Minka Middle East Initiative under the "refugee" category are of Syrian nationality. However, some projects also work with other refugee populations (Palestinian or Iraqi in particular).
Internally Displaced: as defined by UNHCR.
Hosts: nationals of a country (as opposed to refugees) who are not internally displaced (as opposed to IDPs).
Children / youth / adults: the age limits vary slightly from one project to another, to adapt to the categorization of implementing partners.
